NSCDC arrests two men for duping trader of N2.4m


The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Zamfara State has arrested two persons for allegedly duping a trader of N2.4 million and possessing N300,000 fake notes in Gusau, the state capital.

The duo, Ibrahim Muhammad and Ibrahim Bungudu, were arrested after one Abbas Hashimu lodged a complaint to the command that he was duped of about N2.4 million by Bungudu. Narrating the incident to Daily Trust, the victim, a trader at Tudun Wada market, said he was hypnotized by the suspect and could not realize that he was being duped till after some time.

The commandant of the NSCDC in the state, David Abi, said the suspects would be charged to court for criminal conspiracy, cheating, use of charm and forgery.
