Man Utd fans desperate for Pochettino and Kane after Tottenham sack boss just six months after Champions League final

Pochettino reacts after Tottenham Hotspur lose to Newcastle
Manchester United fans are desperate for the club to land Mauricio Pochettino after he was sacked by Tottenham.

The Argentinian, 47, was axed by Daniel Levy just six months after leading the club to the Champions League final.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer enduring an up and down season at Old Trafford, United fans are desperate for Ed Woodward to move for the now available boss.

Fans also reckon they could steal a move for England skipper Harry Kane, who has flourished under the manager in the last five-and-a-half years.

Mark Goldbridge said: "Poch sacked! If he's free then he's got to be a serious contender for United if Ole slips up again?"

United Xtra wrote: "Poch took Spurs to a Champions League final on a shoestring budget. Whoever gets him next will be very lucky. Top manager!"

Aidan said: "If United don't sack Ole and get Poch rn, we will regret it for the next 10 years."

While Eli said he was "praying" for the club to lose their next match.

"I'm praying seriously that we lose our game this weekend against Sheffield United," he wrote, "So that Ole can be sacked immediately, then we can go in for Poch."

So that Ole can be sacked immediately, then we can go in for Poch.

A statement for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy read: "We were extremely reluctant to make this change and it is not a decision the Board has taken lightly, nor in haste.

“Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.

“It falls to the Board to make the difficult decisions - this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff - but we do so in the club's best interests.

Wow that's a ballsy move by Spurs given every club wanted #Pochettino not 3 months ago 🀷🏼‍♂️πŸ‘€πŸ€” perhaps he had his head turned & has his new club ready to go so his decision but if not struggle to even imagine who Spurs feel they can bring in a better πŸ™ˆ time for a #MUFC Kane Bid

Harry Kane in January... πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ #mufc

Harry Kane. #MUFC

— Luke Rutter (@LukeRutter1)

Now that Pochettino has left Spurs, #MUFC should spend good money on Kane and Son 😊

Kane to United you heard it here first! #mufc #tottenham #Pochettino
